Eyes Swide Shot: Goodbye London, Ciao Milano!

Fashion week has a short attention span, in fact this year's Milan fashion week hardly even qualifies as such, squeezed as it is into only four days - from Thursday (Sept 23rd) until Sunday 27th.
Milan fashion 'week' is of course known for its lashing of grown-up glamour, heels and armies of serious P.R's. As with all fashion weeks of course Milan has it has it's own innate personality, in fact fashion weeks are inevitably like a big family - you have the straight-talking successful sister, New York, the quirky younger brother in London, the sexy sibling in Milan and the refined and elegant Parisian sister.
Taking our sexy sibling Milan in hand, Swide takes a peek at the events to watch over the next few days.
- Kicking off the week is a surprise new contender to Milan's fashion week, Louis Vuitton who will be inaugurating their "Ecritures Silencieuses" exhibition at Palazzo Dugnani.
- Prada reopens its Corso Venezia store to unveil a new revamped look with of course the requisite cocktail party.
- D&G gets the supermodels into town on Friday (Sept 24th) as Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova, Naomi Campbell (not to mention boys Tyson & Noah Mills) head to the city's La Rinascente department store from 7pm in Piazza Duomo to introduce the new D&G Anthology Fragrance collection.
- "Milano Loves fashion" is a new event which will include performaces, catwalk shows in the city's Piazza Duomo.
- Closing Milan's fashion week on Sunday Sept 27th, designers Dolce & Gabbana will show their spring/summer 2010 womenswear collection which will be the culmination of a week long series of "Pre-Show Diaries" in which the designers preview their collection in a revolutionary series of videos.
