Cut out of the frame.com

Posted Jun 23, 2008

How to stay professional when things are not going your way.

I was certainly not braced for this morning’s harsh text from the editor. I am being cut out of MY interview…!!!

Hysterical for at least half an hour and contemplate quitting in the true manner of a professional. The only thing that calms me down is that if Mr. G had recognized me on the video he would have remembered "the lift incident" and my position would have been relegated straight to last season. In a defeated state I sleep for twelve hours straight.

3:00am - Wake-up with cramp in my foot. Hop around my bedroom to alleviate the pain and curse the fact I need to be up in two hours. Consider drinking wine to put me back to sleep but as its a slippery slope and I can't afford rehab opt for tea instead. Would it have made a difference if the bottle had been stamped vintage cru?

4:00am – Wake-up (again) and panic about the D&G Show tomorrow.

6.00am - Wake-up (for real....OMG) unsure if I can face heels/life/work/fashion ever again. Take a taxi (considered a form of public transport at this stage in the week) and when it pulls up I spot the rest of the team looking like foxy fashion assassins. Realise it is my duty to serve and so on go the heels again.

This time with a clear mental note of all the bathrooms in the building, I head back to the VIP room, only this time armed with slightly better questions and the relief that David is not in the building.
