Beware of the dog

Friday and the entire week has past without anyone enquiring after my bronzed limbs. I have given up on the white outfits and feel like taking the first Sleazyjet to London to show someone who cares what a bit of "lettino" action can turn a girl into. I plan to adopt a lily-white visage next year in order to get a look around here.
Anyway, who cares, as tonight is Friday and I have a dinner date with my very chic Italian friend, Elisa. We bonded over our mutual love of Sophia Coppola (it’s the little things) and ever since then have continued to return phone calls in an industry that rarely does.
Elisa has just rather sadly/cleverly just purchased an imitation pet to make up for the fact she is never at home but would really like the dream of coming home to someone who loves her...needless to say after a bottle of wine we told everyone who walked in the door to 'beware of the dog'. It amused us. Later we headed to "Panino Giusto" (meaning something like bread hits the spot…) and where at any given moment you may spot a Milanese fashion celebrity. Tonight however they all appeared to be on holiday which means Portofino in August.
Given that Panino Giusto is a restaurant with bread in its title it was a little annoying to then have to wait forty-five minutes as the pan had run dry (???). Everyone got very anxious and cross... well, not strictly true because nobody actually got vocally angry, instead we all looked out of the window passive aggressively.
I was the only one drinking alcohol so needless to say with no food, I got exceptionally drunk, supping on a stomach with only a salad lining. The rest of the group opted for diet-coke as apparantely it's very "post-rehab" and therefore very now. Talk turned to our bosses, Mrs P(rada), Mr. T(iscli), and Mr A(rmani). No-one it seemed however has a relationship like me and Mr G ☺ . I didn’t of course mention the lift incident, it would be rude to ride and tell.
