Uffie releases pop the glock

Posted Oct 6, 2009

Uffie's anticipated debut album, Sex Dreams & Denim Jeans is ready after four years in the making. Featuring a guest appearance from Pharrell, we take a peek at her new video, and first release, Pop The Glock.

Miami-bred Anna-Catherine Hartley and one time queen of Myspace (four years ago it was cool believe us), the little lady originally moved to Paris with hopes of becoming a fashion designer or ballerina. Instead, she made electro-pop rap with Mr Oizo, got a record deal with Parisian label Ed Banger Records, became famous with her appearance on the Justice track 'Tthhee Ppaarrttyy' and had a baby - needless to say the album got lost somewhere along the way.

Four years later as she’s back with ‘Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans’ - confirmed for release in early 2010. Uffie's first official music video for 'Pop the Glock', (the video is below) is directed by Nathalie Canguilhem and debuted on the internet last week – and we like it. Welcome back Uffie.

Trying not to get too distracted by the fashion in Uffie's new video (underwear as outerwear as seen on the spring 2010 catwalks!) - Pop The Glock.
