Tokyo club excess

Despite the days of eating sushi covered in gold leaf being long gone - the excess of the eighties are being revived in another sparkling form - club nights.
Tokyo's most infamous "bubble discos" named after Japan's inflated eighties bubble economy are being revisited now in a series of club nights organised by The Avex Group in honour of the group's their 20th anniversary.
The most famous of Tokyo's now defunct clubs was Juliana’s - a hedonist spot that saw eighties empowered Japanese women throwing caution to the wind in lycra and mini-skirts, and apparently using the fire escapes to change into their then shocking outfits.
After eventually being closed down- the club was revived at the end of October for one night only attracting 13,000 people and thus opening the door for future nights featuring the big clubs of the 1980s and 1990s like Twin Star, Velfarre, and Maharaja.
Hot on the stiletto heels of Juliana's will be - Legend of Twin Star on November 22nd at Roppongi King and Queen, Legend of Velfarre on December 5th at Differ in Ariake and finally Legend of Maharaja on January 30th at Roppongi King and Queen.
If the Tokyo bug has got you - pencil in December 11th for DG Set - a series of super exclusive DJ sets thrown in-store at the Dolce & Gabbana boutiques. The Tokyo DG set will play host to DJ San Morale & Dj Barbo.
