Thirst quenching tunes of Lemonade

Posted Feb 12, 2010

The Swide office has been seeing its share of gloomy weather, rather than have it brings us down, we’ve found audio therapy in the rhythmic sounds of Lemonade. Their latest video has us embarking on an adventure outside the city to a distant safe haven full of adolescent debauchery.

Hailing from Brooklyn, Lemonade’s sound is as fresh as its name suggests. Mixing the harmonious sounds of xylophones, cowbells, giggles and love chants, “Lifted”-the second track of their upcoming EP Pure Moods, could very well be the song to lift our spirits while we anxiously await Spring. Shot in a home video-esque style,“Lifted” features bandmates Alex, Ben and Callan on a road trip outside of New York. Going hand in hand with their music style, the video features the band being carefree and uninhibited. Fun is the key word when it comes to explaining Lemonade’s music style. Upon describing their sound, Ben jokingly shares that it is “‘kind of like bananas and ecstasy”. Fusing both tropical beats and psychedelic melodies, Lemonade is bringing sunshine where it may be absent.

Check out the new video for "Lifted".
