The enigmatic Fever Ray

Posted Jul 14, 2009

If you're looking for an under the radar play-list for by the pool this summer, Swedish musician, Karin Dreijer Andersson's solo album Fever Ray could be it.

One half of the brother-sister duo, The Knife, Fever Ray is Karin's first solo album.

Following the success of The Knife's first two albums and their third, Silent Shout that went to number one and won six Swedish Grammys, the pair decied to take some time out. Despite being pregnant for the second time Karin continued on her creative journey, writing her first and critically acclaimed solo album.

"It was not so much about children, but more about tiredness, when you switch to daydreaming all the time. The whole album takes place somewhere in between awake and dreams and that is something you easily transfer to when you have small kids”, Karin has said.

Karin's new video for the third single to be taken from the album Fever Ray is called Triangle Walks and is directed by Mikel Cee Karlsson.

Refreshingly in an era of celebrity - Karin is an enigma, prefering masks to the paparazzi's flash.

Triangle Walks is one of the first singles from the album. Having already achieved cult status, the track has also been remixed by DJ Rex The Dog. Listen to the dance version here www.youtube.com/watch?v=SY2yR0oTB6s)
