"So I say thank you for the music - For giving it to me" (Abba). Attempting to drone out the sounds of the recession - we found solace in music this year as a new host of random characters made it onto our playlists. Swide charts our top ten music acts and the ones we predict will be sticking around on your playlist in 2010.

UFFIE
Uffie's finally released her much anticipated debut album, Sex Dreams & Denim Jeans after four years in the making. Featuring a guest appearance from Pharrell, Swide danced around its handbags to, Pop The Glock.

THE WONDER GIRLS
Despite a general aura of doom and gloom surrounding the music industry, Korean pop group, the Wonder Girls partnered with Tween fashion chain Justice to retail their music in a new innovative way.

HAR MAR SUPERSTAR
