Lykke Li: The tour dates

Just 23 years old, Lykke Li has already supported Keerup, Santogold and Royksopp, and her debut album, Youth Novels, was produced by none other than Björn Yttling of “Peter,Björn and John”. Released in 2008 in its native Sweden and the USA, the album is now available in Europe.
All of its 14 tracks were written and composed solely by Lykke Li - her delicate voice fitting perfectly with the disco beats and lo-fi percussion sounds, creating emotionally charged electro-folk ballads and power-sugar pop songs. This is of course the Swedish approach to indie music (remember the global success of Royksopp) that influenced the world over and needless to say Lykke is one international lady having lived in Lisbon, India and New York.
Lykke Li’s “gypsy attitude” is captured in her music as well her live performances. Below is Lykke Li in "Concert a Emporter" (a beautiful production by blogotheque.net) featuring El Perro del Mar on the streets of San Francisco.
Lykke Li kicked off 2009 with a spectacular single: "I'm Good, I'm Gone", which saw her dancing and singing in an ambiguous office-theatre that looked just 'a little bit' like a mental institution (take a look at its strange inhabitants below).
On Myspace Swide discovered Lykke Li doesn't believe in Twitter, doctors nor X Files, but she does love getting drunk on Saturday and,… even on Monday. Although she's revealed she’s already working on her second album don't hold your breath, as quite rightly she's quoted as saying that, "it's going to take a loooong time before you hear it, because it takes months to bake a good cake".
