Kitty Daisy and Lewis
At the risk of sounding like our parents - this is music to sing, dance and to tap one's feet too. In the darkest month of the year - there is definitely something underrated in putting on a track that will guarantee a smile.
Aged only 15, 20 and 18, (we won't say what we were doing at that age...) Kitty Daisy and Lewis have built a massive word of mouth audience through live gigs and festival appearances where they play, and promise you won't get jealous - the guitar, piano, banjo, drums, lap steel guitar, harmonica, double bass, ukulele, xylophone, trombone and accordion between them. And of course they sing.
The first thing you may notice (after their unique style) is the album's sound quality. Recorded in a unique digital-free analogue by Lewis and his father Graeme in their home studio in Kentish Town, London - you could be mistaken for thinking it was recorded back in the fifties - without the scratches and bad sound quality of course we hasten to add.
A stickler for living and breathing the music they play (with no mention of celebrity we underline...) the band talks passionately about music and the industry they're in, which I'm sure you'll agree is refreshing stuff.
