Better than Prince

Posted Apr 14, 2009

Flairs – introducing the new musicians attempting to surpass “the little one formerly known as the love symbol” with a perfect 3-minute electro pop gem.

“Cockney speaking French knob twiddler” is how lead singer Lionel Flairs describes himself courtesy of the Flairs Myspace page. Producer of some of the best eccentric and offbeat pop & electro around (the track “French Cowboy” features rap, Elvis and French synth) their debut album - Sweat Symphony was released earlier this year.

Years of shuttling between gay Paris, Staines (before Ali G and Hard-Fi had heard of it) and London’s Soho has infused Lionely, the maverick songsmith with the tongue-in-cheek triple irony of post-post modern England – he’s joined by Prince William on vocals, guitar and synths and Prince Phillip on drugs and the drums.

You can twiddle our knobs anytime Lionel.

Everyone together now...

"I can make love longer than Prince, I can scream longer than Prince, I can dance longer than Prince, I can play bass better than Prince, I make love longer than Prince..."
