Olivia Wilde showed her mettle style-wise as she cut a cool figure on the red carpet of the premiere of The Iron Lady. The Tron Legacy and House star struck just the right note between elegance, glamour and a stately formality as she graced the opening night event for Meryl Streep’s Margaret Thatcher biopic.

Although not staring in the picture Wilde, who plays Dr. Remy ‘Thirteen’ Hadley in the hit US show House nearly stole the show in a black Dolce&Gabbana classic length tube dress with three-quarter length sleeves and puffed shoulders. The sober look is offset with a sensational par of leopard print pumps that bring the whole thing to life.

Since staring in Tron Legacy with Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde’s career has really taken off and she’s shown she’s got the right stuff on the silver screen as well as being perfectly comfortable beamed directly into your front room via the medium of television. 2011 saw her star with Harisson Ford and Daniel Craig in sci-fi mash-up blockbuster Cowboys and Aliens.
