Hayley Atwell at the New York Screening of Captain America

Hayley Atwell, who has made her name in Britain as an onstage theatre star, is one lucky lady this summer. She has landed a lead role in the new Marvel film, which is guaranteed to be a summer blockbuster and will help boost her profile stateside and, hopefully, worldwide.
She plays Peggy Carter, a member of military, who liaises with Chris Evans’ character Steve Rogers and eventually becomes the love interest and also assists as a moral adviser to the soldier as he transforms into a Captain America.

The beauty was snapped on the red carpet at the Visa Signature screening of the film in New York this week and she is definitely love interest material.
Captain America: The First Avenger is in cinemas now.
