Getting Those Festive Feelings with Madonna
She is a pop icon about who we could say has done it all. Madonna's career is about to explode again in 2012, what with the release of W.E., the new single 'Gimme all your luvin' and a new album on its way. It would seem that 2012 is going to see crowds of fans old and new and as diverse as ever clawing to get a piece of the Beautiful Stranger and Swide will be in queue.
With the public persona that we, as public, create when regarding our favourite celebrities, it is easy to forget that our icons are also people... well in most cases this can be said. This then got us thinking about Madonna during the festive season and how she celebrates. Does she do it in style? is it a low-key affair? or what? Well, luckily Swide is here to help give a couple of ideas for the Desperately Seeking Susan star...
First up it is important to find the perfect destination. Madonna is well known for her chameleon like abilities and has donned many different looks. Of late Madonna has been quite the party girl, even declaring that she was in the mood to dance during the release of her dancefloor destroying 'Confessions on a Dancefloor', and this has been evident since. With this in mind we were thinking that a city like Caracas in Venezuela might be appropriate for her. The heat, the party, the ocean and not forgetting the festive tradition of rolling skating. In fact... that would suit her perfectly.
But, seeing as Madonna is more of a family kinda gal these days, maybe something a bit more scenic would be more fitting? How about a frozen jaunt to Jukkasjärvi in Sweden, where she'll find the ICEHOTEL in all its ice-cold beauty. Here she can enjoy the thought of husky rides, open fires and ice on the dancefloor. Two ideas for two extremes and both can be found on Swide here.
Luckily, our attentive food editor can be of service too, not a private chef, no no. Over the last few weeks our very own Elisa has been cooking up a treat of suggestions for us to cast our eyes open and it gave us a few ideas. There is no reason why Madonna can't adapt a few classic recipes like we did. For example, we took Thanksgiving favourites and gave them an Italian twist, (Recipes with an Italian Twist) that roasted turkey is sure to be a winner on the Christmas table and, seeing as Madonna has a few more mouths to feed, I would suggest a slightly larger bird should be shoved in the oven.
If Turkey isn't tempting the taste buds then rather than keeping things traditional get a few of these imported (yes, import... come one! It's Madonna we're talking about): Visit the foodie wishlist here.
I suppose that we've cover the most important elements when putting together the perfect Christmas. What's that? ah yes, what would we suggest Madonna? Pah... the list is endless. Our Fashion Editor, along with our expert E-Commerce/product editor and Sports Editor, has put together some special publications that have something for everyone. Whether you are Madonna, someone like her beau Brahim Zaibat or one of our faithful readers, we have those who love fashion, food, fun and the finer things in life covered. Don't believe me... then click here to find out what Swide have got in store.
See, Swide can cater for any occasion, even Madonna.
