Franca Sozzani met 'iwork4DG'
Well,
we exchanged our ideas about the show. Seems like we were both satisfied with
how the show went today: explosion of colors and letters, lots of chiffon,
masculine cuts for the jackets, 80s accessories and feathers... It's the kind of
winter I've always dreamt of. As we were busy chit chatting outside Metropol, a
guy came up to Franca Sozzani and asked: 'Why do you always choose celebrities
for Vogue Italy rather than models?' Curiosity kills the fashion victim? No, not
in this case. Ms. Sozzani was rather willing to answer, she said: 'Some
celebrities are very beautiful, just look at them. You can't take your eyes off.
And the models? I find almost all of them indistinguishable from each other: the
same attitude, the same face, the same everything... I'd rather work with a
celebrity that has her own appeal...'
Right after this answer, I started smiling. I had read an article on Vogue American about how Anna Wintour was using Blake Lively on the covers because of her particular beauty (and fame of course, xoxo). It's an equation that always works fine, so why not use it?
