Meet the bloggers: Susanna Lau, Stylebubble
Fashion commentator, stylish lady and quirky to boot make her blog irrestible. Stylebubble is bookmarked by the world's fashion pack, the P.R's and the brands in the know and acts a bit like a best friend who trawls the fashion world, showrooms and sample sales for you, trying on outfits, taking pics and saving you the hassle of having to people with asymmetrical haircuts. Swide speaks to the lady in heels behind the blog.
LIFE PRE-BLOG
I was still very much geeking out online on forums like The Fashion Spot but in my day job I was working in digital advertising, completely unrelated to fashion. It mostly consisted of a lot of Excel, fattening client lunches and shorter working hours enabling me to sneak out to the shops at lunch hours.

ONLINE IS A WAY OF LIFE – DO YOU OPT FOR A NON-WIFI SPOT IN YOUR SPARE TIME OR IS YOUR BLOG ALL CONSUMING?
I spend the bulk of my time searching for wi-fi... in airports mostly where they insist on sending out crap signals or charging me a fortune to get online. That said, I've weaned myself off a Blackberry and I'm not so incessant about checking up on the blog all the time... the wee hours of the night is when I can escape either into the land of nod or drinking too many vodka and lemonades.

DO YOU STILL READ PRINT MAGAZINES?
What do you mean STILL? I've always been hiding behind a stack of mags... I actively seek out new ones still though the ones I love are diminishing. I'm actually into the smaller zines that people are coming up with these days to cut costs...the idea of starting one up does sort of appeal...

THERE ARE SO MANY BLOGS OUT THERE – HOW DO YOU SORT THE GOOD FROM THE BAD?
Ones with chunky bits of text actually which sort of goes against the grain of the fashion blogs that are popular (i.e. ones with lots of beautiful imagery...). A strong sense of opinion and a unique point of view are the ones that I like to read...

WHAT’S BEEN YOU MOST SUCCESSFUL POST?
I'm not sure how to judge posts by their success. Number of comments? The way you feel about it afterwards? Are you meant to have a self-satisfied cheesy grin? I dunno...but I guess statistically speaking, my Pam Hogg post about her deeming me as 'bad publicity' by wearing her catsuits was successful in that respect... I think I did rashly blog that one in anger though...

WHO IN YOUR OPINION ROCKS THE BLOGASPHERE? DO YOU SUFFER FROM BLOG ENVY?
I think I'm contradicting my point above but Luxirare, a blog that has sickeningly good images of food and clothes is my current favourite. I also love Foxyman too, a girl with a stupendous sense of style. There are of course the ol' faves like Diane Pernet's A Shaded View on Fashion and The Coveted. I think every blog has fairly discernable differences so it would be odd to get blog envy... plus I don't really care how high or low in the blogging ladder I am...

HAVE YOU EVER BLOGGED WHEN UNDER THE INFLUENCE AND REGRETTED IT?
Hmm...if I have, I think I may have forgotten about it. The magical powers of the EDIT button though have probably saved me.

STRANGEST PLACE YOU’VE BLOGGED FROM?
Denton Texas? Not because I found it hard to get wi-fi access but just because the idea of me in a place like Denton, Texas is odd...

IS THERE A PERSON YOU’D WISH WOULD START A BLOG?
If she writes like she does in the Guardian and 10 magazine, Hadley Freeman would be a truly amazing blogger, not confining topics to just fashion though.

HOW DO YOU SEE TWITTER IMPACTING ON BLOGGING?
More people reading blog posts just because following someone's feed you tend to do some pretty random clicking? I'm not very good at analysing the 'impacts' of anything …

FOR ANY BUDDING BLOGGERS – WHAT WOULD BE YOUR ADVICE ON MAKING IT WORK?
The dreaded question of advice... me, the WORST person to be doling out advice to anyone for anything other than how to make perfect gravy (I do make exceptional gravy by the by...). I would say trying to find a unique point of view is very important... to differentiate yourself from the thousands and thousands of blogs that are out there.

A LIFE IN THE DAY OF A BLOGGER?
Well, my day is mostly taken up at Dazed & Confused where I'm editor of DazedDigital.com so I am on an iMac most of the day from 10 to 7pm.... but back at home, I'll get on the laptop for a bit. Weekends are a bit more random depending on what I'm doing but I seem to work best early in the mornings to get things done so I'm free to roam around the city...
