Lindsay Lohan is Marilyn Monroe

Posted May 8, 2009

Has Lindsay been reading our "Do blondes have more financial fun?" post we wonder? Refreshingly looking like a Hollywood heroine rather than Hollywood tabloid fodder - Swide takes a peek at the Spanish Vogue shoot courtesy of X17online.com.

It's not just the Dolce & Gabbana FW10 Marilyn dress or the hair that's transformed Lindsay into a modern day screen icon but according to blog showstalker.net - the fascination runs skin deep. Last month, Lindsay is reported to have got a Marilyn Monroe quote tattoo on her wrist which reads, “Everyone’s a star and deserves to sparkle.

Could Lindsay be also showcasing her financial clout too? As posted yesterday on Swide - "Do-blondes-have-more-financial-fun" is fashion's latest talking point...

"In the past few months, model agencies such as Premier and Storm have observed a significant increase in requests for blonde hair-blue eyed (BHBE) models, something that they put down to a fragile economy and grim financial climate".

Will this L.A based Spanish Vogue shoot see the return of Lindsay's style & financial savvy?

The FW10 Dolce & Gabbana dress made its debut in the finale of the designer's latest collection - a white silk Mikado  evening gown, available both in long and short forms with Marilyn Monroe prints. The dresses made a stark contrast with to next season's black men’s tuxedos with newly proportioned butterfly-shaped shoulders - AS SEEN this week on music star Rihanna.
