Julia Roberts reveals all to Tom Hanks
Let's set the scene before we go any further - "The Film Society of Lincoln Center" was founded in 1969 to celebrate American and international cinema.
Giving this year's tribute speech to actor Tom Hanks, the "very A-list after all these years", Julia Roberts reminded us why she retains her place amongst Hollywod's elite.
Speaking in a refreshingly blunt, and dare we say it, honest manner, Julia rated Tom's film's past in front of Hollywood's elite. "I love the Cohen brothers, but the hair Tom [in Ladykillers], I didn't even know what the f--k that movie was about!"
She continued,
"You in the airport [The Terminal] with the accent? It was a pass for me. Airport? Were you just an immigrant lost? I didn't know. I love you, and I didn't know what to do, really. God, I’m wearing the same f-----g dress tonight as your publicist!"
Ruling out the possibility she'd made use of the VIP lounge prior to going on-stage, Swide salutes Ms. Roberts for coordinating her colourful speech with her monochrome outfit (and Tom's publicist) - a white Dolce & Gabbana dress accordingly.
