Jennifer Lopez ticks all the boxes
In New York we're very aware that the cool factor tends to rub off a club as soon as it opens it's down - or at least six months later. With the Beatrice Inn the latest after hours venuse to close its doors gawker.com/the-death-of-the-beatrice-inn - it would seem that Manhattan's The Box, however, has despite its critics, the "everlasting factor". Not a factor to be mocked on the Lower East side.
The Box is described on its site as an avenue for "fine dining and theater". Just don't expect Shakespeare.Their concept is to bring back (Jenny from the Block - sorry couldn't resist) the energy of concert saloons and burlesque halls back to the neighborhood. With two bars and a stage - the club presents a variety of live entertainment, bands, shows, parties, private functions, and special events. Plus with bankers finally watching the expenses/jobs it could be,The Box is one venue that might not succumb to the corporate factor.
