Now before you start with the close-ups of the obvious attractions, take a peek at the new SS09 campaign’s location. The photographs were taken at the historical Circolo Canottieri Aniene in Rome. Founded in 1892 by Alessandro Morani and by the Fasoli brothers, it became a reference point for national rowing enthusiasts between the two wars.

The campaign was shot by fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco who also worked on four of Dolce & Gabbana’s publications, the books Calcio (Football) (2003), Milan Dolce&Gabbana (2006), Milan Family (2007), 2006 Dolce & Gabbana Italia Champions of the World (2006), as well as two calendars - the glorious one featuring male model David Gandy and another featuring A.C. Milan football team (2008).

The new SS09 Dolce & Gabbana campaign features the Italian swimmers
Emiliano Brembilla
Paolo Bossini
Mirco Di Tora
