After having enlightened the Dolce&Gabbana SS11 fashion show, the iconic singer shined in front of the photographers on Piazza della Scala. A woman of many contrasts, she was just stunning and as we would remember her: short blond hair, black suit and… a statement Tee-shirt. Because she does not content herself with long speeches about what needs to be done but actually does, Annie appeared on the red carpet wearing a Tee shirt in support of her action against HIV. True to herself, she is a woman of her words. Add a red ribbon pins on the lapel of a black suit jacket and the message is crystal clear. Mrs. Lennox sings her activist lyrics on all waves; a couple of years ago she set up the campaign Sing to raise funds and awareness to fight the HIV epidemic in South Africa. Recently Annie was appointed as the London Mayor’s Ambassador for HIV and met for the first time today with the Mayor’s Advisor at the City Hall to discuss the first actions to be taken. Her red carpet smile is a true one… one that expresses passion and commitment, that enchant but that resolutely says, “Follow me”.
