Anna Dello Russo's best kept childhood secret
A never-seen-before item from Anna's collection that isn't a stunning pair of shoes or a precious evening garment. A perfect example of when not to judge by the cover as what this modest brown volume revealed was somewhat much more exhiliarating than her notorious shoe closet (yes, this is quite a strong statement to be making...). The tangible proof that some of us were born with fashion running through their veins.

How did a young girl of 7 (she started the collection very early on indeed) manage to get her hands on so many tags and labels? Easy enough as she explained it to us, she only asked each and every one of her mother's friends permission to cut the tags off their clothes. Bold and charmingly cute, just how we pictured this determined young fashionista.

Talking us through the collection, Anna pointed out that brands had very little to do it with it; it was a prime example of her scientific approach to fashion, observing, collecting, archiving... A love of beauty with an eye always open on everything fashion-related. A while major labels may be missing this little book of wonders also takes us through Anna's childhood and the all-important age of loss of innocence when a label such as Fiorucci was the bee's knees.

We left feeling very humbled by the extent of young Anna's passion and knowledge of fashion and thought back of our own childhoods spent collecting much more mundane things such as stamps... So maybe it isn't in our blood but with such a role model we're just happy to keep trying!
