The Olympics is the stage on which some of human kind's greatest achievements are set, often mirroring the daily struggle of ordinary people, sometimes they surpass our greatest expectations. Usain Bolt did just that when he won gold in the 100 and 200 m finals in Beijing proving that the fastest man who ever lived, lives in our time.

Probably the most enduring image of one of the most successful Games of modern times is when Greg Louganis shocked the world by cracking his head while executing a dive in the qualifying rounds of the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988. He recovered to go on and win two golds making him the hero of the games. His greatest achievement came later, however.

A fiercely cold winter evening in London didn’t deter the Stamford Bridge faithful from getting behind their beloved Chelsea and packing out the stadium as they hosted Manchester United. I on the other hand didn’t have to brave the cold as I got to watch the game from the luxury of the Dolce&Gabbana Lounge pitch-side at the Bridge.
