It’s almost Halloween time and today I have the second part of my Halloween special for you. I have been a big fan of Natalie Shau’s works for a long time and her works are extremely surreal, dark and there is always a twist with her fairytale image.
When I was a child I never celebrated Halloween. It's become a "thing" in Italy only recently, after years of cautious rejection: why dress up, have fun and binge on candy when you can enjoy a day full of hymns followed by a jolly visit to your dead relatives at the cemetery?
For these 2 weeks, I have a special treat for you. As you know Halloween is coming soon and I have discovered two illustrators whose styles fit perfectly with this special occasion. Madame Monique is the illustrator I want to introduce to you this week.
