perfect CV he surely has; starting with a PhD from the Faculty of Architecture
of Milan with a research project on Ernesto Nathan Rogers and the post-war
architectural culture, followed by an impressive list of exhibitions curated by
him such as Le forme del cibo, (Opos, Milan), Work in Progress (Triennale,
Milan), The Golden Medal for Italian Architecture 1995-2002 (Triennale, Milan),
the first Italian “Festa per l’Architectura” (May-June 2004, Triennale, Milan)
and many more.

Luca has not only worked on installations and constructions but has also
captured architectural trends, works of art in various volumes published in the
field of Architectural History and Theory in the likes of Il grande libro di
Laus (Lodi,1995) or The art of display (with Laura Lazzaroni, Skira,
2006).

“Italiana”: An Italian style comedy by Luca Finotti
The Matt Silk Collection for SS12 is cool, pretty and perfectly in tune with this season’s main trend: Fifties. Luca Finotti, an up and coming Italian director was charged with creating a video to contextualize the inspiration behind the glasses. Drawing from by the classic Italian Fifties comedies, the video tells a story of ironic jealousy between mother and daughter. Think classic car, Bianca Balti, vintage music, Italian scenery. The story for the video was created by Swide, styled by Yuri Ahn and directed by Luca Finotti. A Fifties day out for a contemporary woman.
