The web doesn't give us much information about Irina, but we are certain we will find out more about her project soon. It is clear from the work she displays on her website that there is a thought and study behind her photographical research. Although many of her studies are interesting, "Back to the Future" caught our attention because it's such a "human" subject, or rather subjective. We all want to go home and flip through old albums in the hopes of recreating what we once lived and see the changing effects of time look back at us from print. How much have we changed? What other similarities are there other than the replica of the clothes and gadgets, environment, even expressions. A lifespan framed by two pictures: would we have known back when we took that first picture what our lives were going to be like? Are we still smiling, or the childish expression we want to imitate is just a performance act? To try safely at home, or contact Irina for her Ongoing Project although she seems to choose mainly people from her beloved Buenos Aires.
