Young Inspiring Talents: Beth Spitalny

Promoting her independent film "Procession" across festivals and winning full-force, Beth Spitalny has shown how simple can being complicated be. Her movie is about a young girl who goes through a great loss: her boyfriend. We all know how tough young love is and how life changing grief can be.
It's from life that Beth takes her inspiration and ends up inspiring us with the spark of her camera and the emotionally intense, yet never hopeless, tone of her story.

“Italiana”: An Italian style comedy by Luca Finotti
The Matt Silk Collection for SS12 is cool, pretty and perfectly in tune with this season’s main trend: Fifties. Luca Finotti, an up and coming Italian director was charged with creating a video to contextualize the inspiration behind the glasses. Drawing from by the classic Italian Fifties comedies, the video tells a story of ironic jealousy between mother and daughter. Think classic car, Bianca Balti, vintage music, Italian scenery. The story for the video was created by Swide, styled by Yuri Ahn and directed by Luca Finotti. A Fifties day out for a contemporary woman.
