100 Days of Active Resistance by Vivienne Westwood

Posted Sep 28, 2010

Check out an online installation that calls to action, it is a Vivienne Westwood Anglomania- Lee Jeans partnership that fosters communication, individual expression and communion. Educate yourself to become who you really are meant to be.

Not only does she design clothes, not only was she among the few happy faces that initiated the Punk movement in the mid-seventies, Miss. Westwood is still in the place and shouts louder and louder each year. A strong believer, she recommends and quite friendly orders you and me to enjoy real experiences, to know where we belong to and to feel each breath. Last year it was a theater play, this year she shares with you, me, everybody, 100 days of positive thoughts starting from today. Following VW’s calendar today is day one.

Everybody can take part in this collective thinking gathering. It is very simple: write a slogan, take a picture and create an artwork that shows how you resist.  Your act of bravery might be chosen and posted on ar100days.com.

What do we have for today? The motto is coming from Sydney and tells us to stand up.
Resistance- revolution- reward- reveal…Lot of R’s that we can think of, but this year’s manifesto against propaganda reaches us anywhere we might be and will hopefully change the way we act and live tomorrow.

The installation starts today, on September 28th 2010, with the 100 days coming to a close on January 5th 2011.
