Turn over a new Sarah Moon leaf

Posted Oct 14, 2008

Leave the gossip rags alone - experience a different sort of voyerism

The new book, 1 2 3 4 5 by the wonderful photographer Sarah Moon, has just been released by Thames & Hudson. Comprising of 5 beautiful notebooks assembled in a slip-cased box, the must-have coffee table book includes over 400 images unveiling the most public and personal moments of Sarah Moon’s professional life, her intentions, her friendships, her heroes, her taste for colour and her passion for the cinema.

Proving models can be smart, talented, creative and beautiful (phew...jealous us?), Sarah Moon, a former model turned photographer has achieved an iconic and celebrated style as a contemporary photographer of international renown. She has taken award-winning photos for such magazines as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Nova and all her images share her poetic sense of place and personality.

in the new book, distinguished writers – Dominique Eddé, Ilona Suschitsky, Magali Jauffret, Alain Fleischer and Robert Delpire – provide commentaries on her work in still and cinema photography, drawing out her thoughts on colour, contemporaries, influences and, in her own words, her unique approach to her subject in a celebration of the vision of a gifted and individual photographer.

Make sure you have something other than a Sex and the City DVD to look at this Christmas holiday.
