Takashi Murakami Inochi dolls
Based on the 2002 Shinohara Tetsuo film Inochi, Takashi Murakami's Inochi Dolls are recreations of the film's protagonist. The dolls, produced by Medicom for Takashi Murakami, are limited to 200 pieces and are priced at approximately USD$1500 each.

Intrigued by the Japanese gallery's name and where a leading artist such as Takashi Murakami decides to show new work - Swide discovered more about the Tokyo Kaikai Kiki gallery. Budding artists take note.
The gallery was founded by Takashi Murakami in 2001, and evolved from its predecessor, the Hiropon Factory, which was founded in 1996. The gallery is more of an enterprise than a gallery and is also involved in the production and promotion of artwork, the management and support of select young artists, general management of events and projects, and the production and promotion of merchandise. It employs roughly 50 people in its Tokyo headquarters and 20 people in its New York office and studio.

Currently getting a helping hand from the company, new artists being represented include Chiho Aoshima, Mr., Aya Takano, Chinatsu Ban, Mahomi Kunikata, and Rei Sato. Names to watch for sure.
