Power To The People by Mariano Vivanco
Meeting with Mariano is always great, his smile, his sense of humor are just enough to start the conversation. It is not the first time that he works for Dolce&Gabbana but on this occasion he had to shoot the Calcio underwear campaign that Swide revealed last month. It was about sculptural bodies wearing a Calcio uniform: superb!
Five of our favorite Italian football players, Antonio Di Natale, Vincenzo Iaquinta, Claudio Marchisio, Federico Marchetti and Domenico Criscito were in the crew and believe us we had a good time following the shoot from the setting to the last caption taken by Mariano. On that day Mariano told us his first impressions of the just completed shooting but not only. He gave his point of view on fashion as an industry, on blogs and bloggers, on the general power of the Internet. Last but not least he highlighted why Dolce&Gabbana is a reference when it comes to menswear and has been from day one. On the occasion of the Dolce&Gabbana Man 20th Anniversary, it is more than relevant to mention that the shirts, the shoes but especially the jumpers from the Italian House are body transformers. Thanks to fabulous shapes and qualitative fabrics, any man can walk out of the house and look good… Magic? Talent?... Let Mariano tell you what it is all about.
