Our city dreams

The very insightful director Chiara Clemente has tapped into what has become our new voyeur trend - the spaces where creatives work. If you're forever wondering where the artists types hang-out - this is the film for you (and the website for you is The Selby while we're on the same subject).
Filmed over the course of one year, “Our City Dreams” from director Chiara Clemente is an invitation to visit the creative spaces of five women artists, each of whom possesses her own energy, drive and passion.
The women, who span different decades and represent diverse cultures, have one thing in common beyond making art (and showing us their spaces...) the city to which now call home - New York.
Profiled artists are Nancy Spero, Marina Abramovic, Kiki Smith, Ghada Amer, and Swoon, one of New York’s most promising emerging artists, whose arresting and fugitive street art transmits the pulse of urban life.
The film will run from Feb 4-17 - for two weeks only.

“Italiana”: An Italian style comedy by Luca Finotti
The Matt Silk Collection for SS12 is cool, pretty and perfectly in tune with this season’s main trend: Fifties. Luca Finotti, an up and coming Italian director was charged with creating a video to contextualize the inspiration behind the glasses. Drawing from by the classic Italian Fifties comedies, the video tells a story of ironic jealousy between mother and daughter. Think classic car, Bianca Balti, vintage music, Italian scenery. The story for the video was created by Swide, styled by Yuri Ahn and directed by Luca Finotti. A Fifties day out for a contemporary woman.
