We like signing up for things as long as we remember the passwords. The Sabine Delafon corporation is something else altogether.

An exceptional young French artist based in Milan. Sabine lets us in to visualize her life.

Sabine's works focus on the conception of time and body, identity and society. Her art mainly consists of "works in progress" - living, breathing projects that combine the real with the make-believe. Each piece of work is a discovery in Sabine's life. Take for example her unique collection of passport pics entitled "Ex" which she's used to create a collage revealing the many versions of "Sabine(s) Delafon(es)" or her collection of 170 diaries which literally contain her life to date.

Her research (and our voyeuristic raid in Sabine's intimacy) started in "A Vendre" (2004) a work where one can literally reach out and feel her life by touching her clothes and viewing a collection of photos of herself that she took each morning for six months, catalogued to look like a fashion look-book.

This same self-examination was continued in 2005, when Sabine reflected on an artist's role in society through a performance presented during Bologna's art fair. Elegantly dressed, Sabine addressed fair visitors with the statement "Hi, I'm an artist, I'm here to give a performance and so I'd like to ask you for money". She made 350 Euros.

Putting herself back on the art scene as a walking, talking exhibit, Sabine wandered around Miart in 2007 with her new daughter; her art masterpiece.

Despite her introspective work, Sabine's work does at times involve the lives of others. Other more recent works have included asking people what at first appears to be a simple questionnaire.

After the introductory banal questions, Sabine launches into the personal, the sometimes uncomfortable questions such as like "have you realized your dreams?"

Sabine's current work "Searching For Myself" attempts to encourage others to be part of the Sabine Delafon Corporation and at the same help serach for Sabine's body-double or "herself" . With the help of the internet and fly-posting cities such as Paris and New York, the seach continues... Can you help her??
