It's time for a happy moment

Online gallery, The Shiny Squirrel is space to bookmark - it's a constantly updated site that features emerging artists and designers and offers the opportunity to buy exclusive limited edition and/ or one a kind pieces and prints. If you've just moved house, or simply want something beautiful to stroke - this is the place.
A recent featured artist of the month was the wonderful Shira Sela whose work we fell in love because, quite simply, it gives us a warm, cosy feeling. The image accompanying this piece is entitled, "HAPPY moment" - something we always need in our lives, whereas her other featured piece is called, "Finally Safe", an emotion we associate with our favourite three words - happy ever after.
The two paintings originally done with markers and inks on watercolor paper are available as prints of the original illustrations along with other designs. The prints are in a limited edition of 100, signed and numbered and available to purchase at The Shiny Squirrel now.

“Italiana”: An Italian style comedy by Luca Finotti
The Matt Silk Collection for SS12 is cool, pretty and perfectly in tune with this season’s main trend: Fifties. Luca Finotti, an up and coming Italian director was charged with creating a video to contextualize the inspiration behind the glasses. Drawing from by the classic Italian Fifties comedies, the video tells a story of ironic jealousy between mother and daughter. Think classic car, Bianca Balti, vintage music, Italian scenery. The story for the video was created by Swide, styled by Yuri Ahn and directed by Luca Finotti. A Fifties day out for a contemporary woman.
