Lennart Green and his wife, Autoportrait-1937
Discover what transmitted talent can bring to the world. The Green family has in one century been behind and in front of the camera from Mia Green, Lennart Green, Marika Green and today’s acclaimed actress Eva Green. Immortalizing historical moments or modelling for renowned photographers, the Greens illustrate perfectly the evolution of the society during the 20th century. The Galerie Catherine Houard invites us on a retrospective journey; an exhibition not to be missed for anyone who claims himself to be fashion and photo obsessed. But not only. It is an extraordinary discovery for everybody, indeed it is a great opportunity to see or re-see some historical shots from the Second World War to the sixties‘ Paris.
La Terrasse de Café, Paris-1937.
Catherine Houard will expose mainly shots from Lennart Green alongside a video revealing a photo shoot with Marika and Eva Green directed by Sonia Sieff and filmed by Christian Berger. Lennart has been the shooting witness of a Parisian boiling cultural scene and has approached with his camera as a weapon, those in the know such as Marc Chagall, Brigitte Bardot, Françoise Sagan, Salvador Dali or Catherine Deneuve.
Salvador Dali and Gala, Paris-1960.
One century, one family, and one common talent: a great arty moving tale that leaves us with a smile and fully inspired.
