Last Saturday, 27th June 2010, Alicia performed a solo set of her own, bookended by two trophies for the Best Female R&B artist and the Best Collaboration for her song with Jay-Z, “Empire State of Mind”. However she had more than one moment of fame during these BET Awards, alongside Patti LaBelle and Janelle Monae, she paid tribute to Prince. She interpreted the song “Adore” and finished it off by crawling on top of the piano. Alicia will be on tour beginning of July, Berlin is one of her next stops. Since she started her career 10 years ago, she has proven to be some kind of a superwoman-a songwriter, a pianist, an author, an actress – she seems to be in total control of her destiny. Her passion is leading her and that is maybe the reason why she never pretends to be but just is.
