A shiny shiny new dress!

Posted Nov 23, 2009

Forget the little black dress . we're so over understated recession chic! This Christmas' party season will be the time to shine - and outshine fellow partiers and Christmas trees alike.

The fashion industry does hold a certain fascination for the extreme, those pieces we love to hate (but still secretly covet... think some of the footwear of late!). We work in fashion, we have the reglementary clichéd fondness for black and so we wouldn't have bet a floor-length meringue gown sporting something like 24,000 colour LEDs would have been our tasse de thé. Meet the new Galaxy dress (no need to get your knickers in a twist Posh, we're talking technological garments designers CuteCircuit rather than Roland Mouret...), not coming to a high street near you but something you could admire at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.

Even more spectacular in action, check out this video from the CuteCircuit designers. We want, we want!

Not one for the wallflowers...

The one thing we're asking ourselves now: which "seeking-headlines-desperately" A-lister will be sporting it first? Bets are open...
