Fashion is not an exact science, but the leaders of the industry can teach you as much about their art as a medical symposium can teach you about medicine. Discover more about your favourite designers, models and stylists this Friday and Saturday at the Vogue Fashion Festival in London.
This weekend, in London, Vogue UK is gathering some of the most important names, and experiences in fashion for an “educational” festival to beat all festivals. Unlike Fashion Week, where it’s the clothes and glamour that speak for themselves, this event looks to introduce the world to the less glitzy side of the fashion industry. Designers of the calibre of Tom Ford and Christopher Bailey, and our very own Domenic Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will be giving lectures geared towards fashion scholars. Retail experts, Models turned business women, and photographers will also be participating.
Domenico
Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will be on stage in conversation with Vogue UK Editor
in Chief, Alexandra Shulman at 2:45pm on the Friday.
This event looks to educate the fashion enthusiasts on the hard graft and unrelenting passion that are needed to conquer the fashion world, also key issues surrounding the industry will be discussed by some of the top minds in the industry. Of course, its not going to be all work and no play: there will be makeovers, fashion shoots, models and demonstrations to tickle that glamorous itch inside all of us fashion lovers.
The Vogue Festival 2012 will be held in London at the Royal Geographical Society on the 20th and 21st April. Tickets cost £75 for either the morning or afternoon sessions.
