5 ideas to taste Paris during Fashion Week
The City of Light, the most charming and romantic spot for lovers, home to the world’s finest and most luxurious fashion designers, Paris is all this and much more.
The cosmopolitan capital of France brims with history, culture, art and food. A large part of the city, including the River Seine, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Strolling about its 20 arrondissements (districts) through majestic avenues and narrow lanes, you can experience the same atmosphere that inspired the Impressionist painters.

Musée Marmottan Monet
Originally a hunting lodge for Christophe Edmond Kellermann, Duke of Valmy, the building at the edge of the fascinating Bois de Boulogne was purchased by Jules Marmottan in 1882. Marmottan later left it to his son Paul, who then bequeathed his home and family collection to the Académie des Beaux Arts, which opened up the house as the Museum Marmottan in 1934.
If you love art and are looking for an experience to take your breath away, you can’t miss it!
It features a collection of over 300 Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works by Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Édouard Manet, Camille Pissarro, Paul Gauguin, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and many others. One of the most notable pieces in the museum is Monet’s Impression, Sunrise (Impression, Soleil Levant), the painting from which the Impressionist movement took its name.

A convivial environment to enjoy elaborate flavours, a wide range of gourmet food and a fine selection of wines from independant vineyards. In a warm and confortable setting you’ll find a basket with delicatessen and renowned labels. Well, what more could you want…?
This narrow wine shop with just a few tables and a bar is home to a chef with haute cuisine credentials. Here you can find a great menu which offers sophisticated bistro cooking served family-style in cast-iron and copper pots.
Les Papilles, 30, rue Gay Lussac, tel. 0033 (0)1 43252079
There are two reasons to walk down passage Josset in the 12th arrondissement: it’s quaint and off the beaten track and it’s home to Les Fleurs. It’s quite difficult to describe this extraordinary boutique that drips with funky jewellery, bags, rococo mirrors and all sorts of gadgets and gizmos. An original shopping temple for little and grown-up girls.

Caveau de la Huchette
Do you fancy a drink in an amazingly cool spot? You are in the right place.
The Caveau de la Huchette is a legendary jazz club in Paris’ Latin Quarter. Its design has been compared to a labyrinthine cellar, that according to legend, was once used by Rosicrucians and by those linked to Freemasonry.
Parisian nightlife is waiting for you…

If you dream of living in the residence of a Parisian artist, we suggest spending some nights at the Hôtel Crayon. 26 rooms and one suite offer a wonderful example of the “colour block” style. Associations of different artistic genres and materials are woven together to create a Bohemian chic ambience. An invitation to relax and delight in a setting that is floor-to-ceiling Parisien.
