Luxury. Parisian Style.

“You don’t know what luxury is until you have stayed at Hotel Plaza Athénée, Paris”.

“You don’t know what luxury is until you have stayed at Hotel Plaza Athénée, Paris” is what a very discerning woman said to me today. I said that I was quite sure that I knew what luxury was and that I had an idea of what it meant to be luxurious. But then I did some research, just to see if what the woman had told was true and, yes, I believe I’d better find that woman’s address pronto because I owe her an apology… Hotel Plaza Athénée’s luxury is uncomparable. It offers services that only dreams are made of that even the A-List rarely experience and all of this is presented with impeccable taste. The inviting atmosphere is the first impression of many to come as the true luxury of this hotel teases you with a reception of decadence and envelops you in a special sense of welcome and belonging.

The two styles of decor transport you into a world of Classical heritage and Art Déco and within lies 146 spacious rooms and 45 suites showcasing French taste at its best giving you, the guest, the chance to select the perfect room for the perfect experience. Oh, and while you’re at it, why not get the perfect view? Personally, I want to see the Westside of the Eiffel Tower every morning but if a view overlooking the charming courtyard or the chic Avenue Montaigne is to your taste, then the choice is yours. Once inside your chosen room you can find a list of 80 products available from the mini bar of each room, so you are spoilt for choice. Deservingly so don’t you think?

Wake up in style and prepare yourself for the day ahead by ordering from the hotel's tantilising room-service menu and whilst you are waiting to eat begin your morning routine in your marble floored bathroom complete with logo embroidered bathrobes and slippers. Then it is off to explore the city. If you need to take a break from your day of hitting the shops Hotel Plaza Athénée has 5 restaurants for you to choose from and one and the most attractive bars that I have ever set my eyes on. This place is beyond chic with a drinks menu to die for. Anyone can feel like a celebrity sipping an expertly shaken cocktail in this place.

After a hard day shopping on the streets of Paris one needs to feel pampered and relaxed and what better way to feel on cloud nine than a sauna followed by a glass, or bottle (no one is watching), of wine from the cellar that holds 35,000 bottles. A wine connoisseur’s fantasy.

Ah yes, how could I forget? Once you have enjoyed many of the lavish services and you are ready to get your beauty sleep turn your attention the menu that allows you to select from, not one but six types of pillow filling. I think you’ll agree such grandoise can not be ignored. So, if you're visiting Paris and you want to do it in style… luxurious, opulent style that is, then Hotel Plaza Athénée is waiting for you. I already have my room booked and I trust you will be doing the same too. But if we happen to be there at the same time, please feel free to smile at me in the fitness center but please don’t knock on my door. I’ll be busy living the life of luxury.
