Midtown gets a bad rap as a tourist trap, but there’s a reason so many people come here for Christmas. From the department store holiday windows to the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, it doesn’t get more old-school New York glamour than this. Here’s a tip: If you find yourself tempted to ice skate at Rock Center, do like the locals and head south to 42nd Street—ice skating at Bryant Park is free.

 Kiosk is my little secret for stocking stuffers and last-minute shopping. The store’s owners travel the world picking up the coolest odds and ends perfect for gifting—Meixcan notebooks, Japanese candy and balsa wood airplanes from New England. I guarantee you will find something for everyone on your list here, but there’s no way you’ll be able to leave without picking up a little something for yourself!

Stopping by Savoy has become my family’s favorite holiday tradition. Not only is this cozy restaurant close to Opening Ceremony, Oak and lots more great shopping, it’s also got a fireplace! There’s absolutely no better place to unwind with a Hot Toddy after a long day in the stores.
