The official opening of the Venice Film Festival 2012 on Wednesday night was highly anticipated. Film buffs wanted to catch a glimpse of the jury, celebrity fans wanted to spot their favourite actor or actress and fashion lovers wanted to feats their eyes on the glamorous fashion. Added to all this, the event also marked the start of the festival, so woohoo two weeks of films, red carpets and photo calls and celebrity spotting opportunities!

Stunning model turned actress Laetitia Casta flashed her Mediterranean curves and natural beauty last night in a black volant lace black gown with, well, not very much underneath. The simple lines of the dress, long sleeves, slight mermaid shape with a hint of train, crew neck and black jewel applications on the front make the dress so simple and elegant that someone with Laetita’s figure can get away with wearing just a pair of satin briefs and matching bra underneath the dress.
