TIFF – Where talents wear Dolce & Gabbana

We all love a good celebrity tiff, don’t we? Well, this isn’t actually an argument, no, we’re talking about the Toronto International Film Festival 2012 and this year’s event has seen some of cinema’s leading ladies choosing Dolce&Gabbana to make sure that their premiere appearances are spot on. Here is a look at who was spotted out and about in TO.

It’s no surprise that the world’s celebrities can’t get enough of the Italian fashion maestros, seeing as they were awarded GQ 2012’s Designer of the Year Award. As always Swide keeps an eye on the world’s events; This week TIFF in TO.

Sarah Gadon in Dolce&Gabbana

Sarah Godon was dressed to kill, in Dolce&Gabbana at the premiere of her film ‘Antiviral’, the story of Syd March who becomes infected with the same virus that killed superstar Hannah Geist (Sarah Gadon) and must unravel the mystery of her death in order to save his own life. The film premiered at TIFF and is now waiting to see if it gets picked up by a distributor. I’m sure they’ll have no problems seeing as the films plot is a look at today’s celeb obsessed society and the lengths that people go to in order to be like their icons.

Paula Patto in Dolce&Gabbana

Also linking to today’s online society, ‘Disconnect’, the new film of Henry Alex Rubin, was premiered and one of it’s stars had chosen Dolce&Gabbana for the ocassion and the photocall. Paula Patton, who has made a name for herself with roles in Déjà vu, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and Precious, stunned the photographers with her choice of fresco inspired floral, baroquem, tunic dress, a piece from the FW13 collection. Not bad, Patton.

Maika Monroe in Dolce&Gabbana

At the same time, Maike Monroe was out and about in Toronto, attending the premiere of her film ‘At Any Price’, which stars Zac Efron, Heather Graham, Dennis Quaid and Clancy Brown, a film about enterprising farmer whose plans cause problems within his family. Monroe looked as classy as Marilyn in a Dolce&Gabbana white macramé dress, keeping things youthful with side swept locks.

Monica Bellucci in one look by Dolce&Gabbana

Then, flying in from Italy, the beauty that is Monica Bellucci gave us two looks in Dolce&Gabbana, lucky us. The actress was there to support the premiere of her new film ‘Rhino Season’ and proved that she is as versatile as the wears of celebrated designers. She channelled her Italian heritage in a fitted, black macramé dress, hair pinned back and finished off with a slick of red on her lips. Then, letting her hair down, it was florals that made the cut and Bellucci looked as beautiful as the bouquets that decorated her dress.

Whether the status be iconic, established or up and coming, Dolce&Gabbana’s flair with fashion has made all four of these women as equally gorgeous as they are individual.
