Scarlett Johansson the political pin up

“I’d rather go to the White House Correspondents’ dinner than any awards show”. Scarlett Johansson reveals to Arianna Huffington her humanitarian and political personas.

Interview Magazine pulled a real coup when they had Hollywood superstar Scarlett Johansson being interviewed by digital media mogul Arianna Huffington for their January issue.

Portrayed on the cover in a Dolce&Gabbana Spring Summer 2012 bodysuit, Scarlett looks every bit the glamour puss. Norwegian photographer Solve Sundsbo creates sexy yet sophisticated images with a slightly darker edge.

The subject of the interview however is much less about Scarlett’s career and more about her role in society. From politics to activism, and her trip to Somalia with Oxfam, where she highlights the problems brought by the recent famine. Scarlett answers with gusto to Huffington’s probing questions and declares “I never tell people whom to vote for. I’m not telling people where to give money, but if there is to be a spotlight shed on me, then I’d like to direct that spotlight onto causes I think are worthy or onto interesting, progressive figures.”
