If two young musicians (year of birth 1985) could pick out a dream and most memorable performance what would it be? The after-party at the Met Gala 2011 to honour the late Alexander Mc Queen. A parade of stars and a crowning music moment.
It is most sensible to pay attention not only to the endless parade of stars that were present on Monday May 2nd at the Met Gala but also to two young music stars who have come a long way up the stardom ladder fairly quickly.
Janelle Monáe and Bruno Mars have conquered the stage at the after-party with a performance both for the ears and for the eyes.

Janelle's Tuxedo love pursuit is well-known to style-lovers, but paired with Bruno Mars' appeal it topped every expectation. It is hard to depict music as being innovative in the last decade: the young duo have managed to create a new world within the existent music circles and trends. Crowned by the music industry with Grammy Awards to both, incredible response to their respective debuts, Janelle with Metropolis in 2007 and Bruno with Doo Wops & Hooligans, now they share the stage for a special occasion: The Met Gala 2011.

There has been much talk of crownings lately, some involved a tiara, others only needed a touch of edge and style. Standing ovation to Janelle and Bruno for keeping us on our toes with interest and always delivering respect-worthy performances.
