Stefano Gabbana's Nail Goes Animalier?

Call your manicurists, guys! Stefano Gabbana sets the new trend in town, during Vogue UK's dinner in London.

You can't imagine my envy during fashion weeks: it's either a thin, leopard belt that glamorizes the whole outfit or leopard-print high heels with red soles that transform a little black dress into an attention-grabber for street-style photographers. If you have the 'advanced' taste though, your whole look serves to let your inner leopard out: Dolce&Gabbana maxi dress with leopard prints and macrame details, leopard pumps, and a leopard Miss Sicily. There you go, you're on the homepage of important blogs, headlines of magazines and next thing you know, there're upcoming bloggers trying to get your look with cheaper, mass market products... Leopard get you the headlines, spotlights and all the glamour one can dream of...

What's in it for men? When you talk about leopard, it's all about women... What if a man wants to have a bit of leopard here and there? No. I remember spending my last weekend in Florence and seeing this beautiful leopard-print coin purse that I thought could take my outfits to a 'Sartorialist-friendly' level yet my mum stopped me. She said it was way too feminine. And she was right. Unfortunately so...

So when the picture of Stefano Gabbana arrived to the office, I spotted a very small detail that nobody else had noticed. I said to myself: 'Does Stefano Gabbana have a leopard-print on his fingernail?' Zooming into the picture, I got closer to the devil, therefore the leopard, that hid in the details: it was a leopard-print nail. Wintour damn it, it was the coolest thing I had ever seen in years! He was dressed up in his usual classy way: elegant combination of white shirt, bow-tie and a jacket with an edgy touch of ripped off jeans... Then there was this microscopic detail that even the blind would appreciate and blog about. Excuse me girls, for years and years you've stepped out in the streets with no make-up, no special hair-do, no attitude yet still looked sexy and feminine thanks to your accessories and outfits with leopard-prints. We, the men, suffered from the lack of attention from bloggers, photographers, animal-righters, style-addicts, fashionistas and fashion victims. We got bored in the shadow of your 'leopard-it-up' outfits. Now thanks to Stefano Gabbana, it's time for a revolution.

I would love to go on and on about this and write more in detail but I just got an appointment with my manicurist for a leopard-print nail session so I'll have to finish my article right here, right now. Remember what Stefano Gabbana says about leopard: "There isn't a particular reason. We fell in love with leopard and we still love it. You can't explain love. We can't."
