Californian girly pop princess Katy Perry looked good enough to eat at the Grammy nominations announcements, as she took to the stage to announce the nominations for the much-coveted Album of the Year Award.

Perry picked up a nomination herself for Record of the Year for Firework but the artists who will fight it out for the Album of the Year Award include Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Adele and Rihanna. Kanye West leads the nominations pool with 7 nominations, while Bruno Mars, Adele and Foo Fighters each garnered 6 nominations.
In a Dolce&Gabbana Pink Lace gown, Perry strikes the right notes for the glamorous occasion while she keeps her hallmark of playful femininity with pink hair and lipstick. Pink is this girl’s colour as we’ve seen reclining in all her splendour on pink clouds on the cover of her album Teenage Dream.

It’s been some year for Katy Perry as she made history becoming just the second artist, after Michael Jackson to score 5 No. 1 singles from the one album. She could well set a new record yet and become the first artist to reach 6 No.1s as her current single ‘The One That Got Away’, is climbing the charts steadily.
Barbara Walters recently included Perry as the only singer on her on her ‘Most Fascinating People of the Year’ list. Perry will sit for a face to face interview with the legendary broadcaster, which is due to air on December 14th. The list also includes Simon Cowell of ‘X Factor’, Donald Trump and the Kardashian family.
It would seem Katy Perry has the sugar-sweet recipe for success it would be no surprise at all if we see her back on stage to accept an award in February 2012.
