Rumours that there was going to be a very special guest at this year's Vogue Fashion's Night Out event taking place at the Dolce&Gabbana Boutique on Madison Avenue and 69th Street were being passed around. Who was it going to be? Which star was going to make an appearance? Well, it appears someone leaked the news.
There were the tell tale signs of a teen sensation; Throngs of girls turning up in droves, tears of hysteria bursting out uncontrollably every time a car passed by and not to mention the walls of placards that were being draped over the railing containing the baying crowds... but for how long?
Yes, like you tweeting beauties already know, Canadian pop prince, Justin Bieber, was the special guest at Dolce&Gabbana's Vogue Fashion's Night Out event and the fans were there to declare their love for him. Bieber, of course dressed to the nines in Dolce&Gabbana, was at the event, not only to sign merchandise and to pose for photos, naturally, but crucially to create further awareness and raise funds for Pencils of Promise. The charity, close to Bieber's heart, helps build schools and increase educational opportunities in the developing world.
The mini pop goliath, Bieber, counts amongst his fans personages of the likes of Usher, Julia Restoin-Roitfield, Scooter Braun, Anna Wintour, Brooklyn Decker, who last night were all out in force to support him and his chosen cause. When the star finished the evening off with an impromptu cover of ‘I Love College’, sung with Asher Roth, things really hit Bieber pitch. Then, before you knew it, he was sharing some dance moves amongst the screaming girls, whose cameras were flashing like fully trained paparazzi and, just like that, he was gone.
There is no doubt that Pencils of Promise will be pretty fricking happy with the singer's efforts and I think the fact that his presence was noted as 'creating a fire hazard' says it all.
