Kylie Minogue’s new film, Holy Motors, by director Leos Carax received it London Premiere last night. It wasn’t only the dark depths of the dream like oddities conveyed in the film that caught our attention, no, it was also the amazing entrance that our favourite pop princess made that left us wanting more.
The film got its first outing during the Cannes Film Festival during May and it is now being released internationally, receiving its UK London premiere last night. This is the first feature length that we have seen from Carax since 1999’s ‘Pola X’, having had difficulties in getting other projects snatched up, since then. And, now, he is back with a film that has been getting rave reviews ever since its debut at Cannes.
Kylie
Minogue in Holy Motors
‘Holy Motors’ follows the life of Monsieur Oscar, for just a few hours, a man who falls between the lives likened to those of a beggar and a simple odd job man. But, when we say odd job, that is exactly what Monsieur Oscar appears to be up to. From assassin to family man to monster to a captain of industry, he flits through different characters in a chauffeur driven white limousine, which just so happens to have a built in wardrobe and makeup desk for him to use. The nature of these jobs or who is paying Oscar to do them is never explained but answers are hinted at when Oscar meets an employee from the same firm, Kylie Minogue. Minogue’s character, Eva Grace, works for the same employer and is also being driven around the city, performing tasks that delve into the audience’s human psyche.
Those that have seen the film have noted the cinematography and style similar to that of David Lynch, indicating that this film is sure to leave you sense uncomfortable eroticism. Wonderful stuff.
The cast stars Denis Lavant, Edith Scob, Kylie Minogue and Eva Mendes, who are all supported by a cast of French cinema heroes

Minogue in Dolce&Gabbana at the Holy Motors premiere in London
At the premiere in London, Kylie Minogue couldn’t have been any further from the murky character she plays in ‘Holy Motors’. On the Red Carpet, the multi-talented star shimmered in a sequinned black down by Dolce&Gabbana and, it goes without saying that, she looked stunning… which can also be said for the look, which she was spotted wearing after dinner, in Mayfair, on the same evening, with her boyfriend, Andres Velencoso.

Cheeky rumours swept the internet when she was photographed with British Diving Olympian Tom Daley, who is toying with idea of film and television, at a recent bash. As much as we think that Daley is a cutie, it is clear that Kylie is more than happy with her Velencoso.
What’s more, is that it is almost 25 September, meaning that we are in for another 25 anniversary treat from the pop lovely! We can’t wait!
