“The only one thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about,” so quipped Oscar Wilde. Well there’s no danger of that for Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively. It seems the gossip tables have turned on strawberry blonde beauty Miss Lively as she fuels the Internet with plenty to talk about.
More grist to the rumour mill for Gossip Girl Blake Lively
Looking fabulous in Dolce&Gabbana Lively caught the eye at a screening of ‘Haywire’ the new spy/revenge/action flick by Stephen Soderbergh. In a heavy knit puffball skirt from Dolce&Gabbana FW10, Lively turned up the heat on rumours that she s romantically linked to fellow ‘Green Lantern’ star Ryan Renolds by turning up ALONE. Yes, alone…. make of that what you will.
Blake Lively as Serena Van Der Woodsen in Gossip Girl
Of course we don’t like to gossip, but Hollywood society is buzzing with the rumour that Renolds’ supposed ex, a certain Sandra Bullock, is still hung up on the Canadian hunk and would do anything to get him back and is even begging him for his hand in marriage. Allegedly Lively hooked up with Bullock’s man on the rebound after splitting up with her beau Leonardo Di Caprio. Not that we’d want to speculate, you understand.

Bullock may be an Oscar-winner but Blake Lively’s star is definitely in the ascendency with TV’s Gossip Girl about to air its 100th episode. Apparently the show has lined up an all singing, all dancing themed episode with Lively rumoured to have filmed a Marylin Monroe tribute dressed as the blonde bombshell in the ‘Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend’ number. Not that we like to gossip you understand…
Blake Lively with Jon Hamm in ‘The Town’
Being at the centre of a Hollywood A-list love triangle has not perturbed her one bit as she takes it all in her stride. Her cool, glamorous look at the Haywire screening says it all really. However, her presence at the event has lent weight to the speculation that she is lined up for Soderbergh’s next directorial project ‘The Side Effects’. And, whisper this, but these are shark-infested waters for Lively as she is set to star alongside none other than serial womanizer Jude Law. Who knows, we could perhaps see Lively’s ‘coolness personified’ persona come under greater media scrutiny (if that’s possible).
Blake Lively glammed up as Serena Van Der Woodsen
There’s plenty of material here and grist to the rumour mill as they say, but perhaps Miss Lively will have the last laugh as it could all be in the name of research. Blake is rumoured to have the part of a 16-year-old Carrie Bradshaw for the ‘Sex and the City’ prequel in the bag and all this romantic intrigue could be just what the girl needs to get to grips with the part. Although according to the Internet, she’s got her hands rather full already.
